I used thick alder to create a mantle to complete a fireplace in a home in Beverly Hills. The clavos on the supports are actually steel balls set in under-sized holes.

Another solution to a customer’s storage problems.

The directors of a pre-school in Santa Monica commissioned me to build a pair of barn doors to be used as a room divider. They each measured about 6’ x 8’ and were tricky to fabricate in my small garage.  The day I needed more space for sanding them prior to finishing them it rained. Being on a tight schedule, I was forced to build a shelter using my truck rack and a large tarp attached to my garage door.
